Biography
| My name is Filipe Mateus, I live in Cascais - Portugal. I´m 25 years old and I´m a student at IST University. Started as a photographer about a year and a half ago, my interest in photography as grown since. The way that I look to things is different now... I tend to watch the dark clouds in the sky, the color tones in every day sunsets, the brown leafs in the trees... everything seams more important, even the simple things in life. My work explores almost every category in photography, I photograph what surrounds me, trying to show bits of my life, emotions, feelings thru shutter speeds, Iso´s and apperture values. My first inspiration was my father, he used an 35mm analog Exakta, now with the new technologies, I do also use my father old camera trying to explore the real meaning of working with light, but I also use a Casio EX-P700 and a Canon EOS 350D with a varied number of lens and other gadjects.
